Teams gear up for Indoor Finals
Women's Indoor ChampionshipSaturday 30th January 2010, Rhydycar Leisure Centre
In what is to be a round robin tournament all four teams took points off each other in the qualifying tournament with Dowlais winning through in first place on goal difference from National title holders Howardian who will shortly be travelling to Galway for their European tournament. Howardian will be looking to maintain their recent run of success having won the title for the last 3 years. Penarth also have a fine record at this level and will be looking to go into their final match against Bridgend having already overcome both 'Howards' and Dowlais. However Bridgend could also find themselves in the same position as Penarth but if current form is any form of indicator the last match between Dowlais and Howardian could well prove to be the 'final'.
The first match starts at 10:10 between Dowlais and Penarth.

In this years Championship in Pool A, South Wales winners Cardiff & UWIC will be looking to maintain their unbeaten qualifying record all the way through the tournament and so qualify for European competition next season. However their first match against local rivals, Whitchurch, may be decisive as they have yet to face each other in the indoor game this season. Swansea Bay however have a wealth of experience in this tournament having won it 6 times in the last 8 years and will be looking to go all the way again. The other North Wales team, Glyndwr University are an unknown quantity and as with their close neighbours, Northop Hall, may have the final word on what promises to be an open tournament with any one of the six clubs capable of winning the Trophy.
The first match starts at 8:45 between Cardiff & UWIC and Whitchurch.
