3 September: 7pm at the Caernarfon Sports Centre
17 September: 7pm at WIS, Cardiff
24 September: 7pm at the Daniel Owen Centre, Mold
8 October: 7pm at St. Clears Leisure Centre, Carmarthen

Follow-up to the 'Strategic Plan' circulated in May.  These Road Shows are an opportunity for the WHU staff to let you know what has happened since then, and where we are heading on issues related to:  ‘IMPROVING HOCKEY FROM THE GRASS ROOTS UP’.

EuroHockey Nations Trophy (Men)
Wales Men's first match in their tournament in Lisbon did not finish with the result they were looking for when going down to two penalty corners against Switzerland.

EuroHockey Nations Challenge (Women)
Wales took 1st place in their tournament in beating Poland 4-2 on penalty strokes after finishing at 2-2 in normal time. Goals from Carys Hopkins and Sarah Thomas enabled the unbeaten Welsh squad to return home with the Gold medals in the knowledge that in two years time, they will be back in the Trophy division.

Home Nations Vets
Wales achieved 2nd place at over 40’s and 3rd place at over 50’s level at the recent Home Nations Internationals held at Swansea.

EuroHockey Nations Challenge (Women)
In their semi final, Wales overcame Slovakia 4-1 with goals from Tina Evans, Sarah Thomas and Carys Hopkins (2) to gain promotion back to the Trophy division at the first attempt. They now play Poland, who beat Switzerland 5-4, in tomorrow's final.

EuroHockey Nations Challenge (Women)
In their second and final pool match in the Nations Challenge Wales defeated the hosts, Croatia to book a semi-final and promotion match against Slovakia tomorrow (Friday).

EuroHockey Nations Challenge (Women)
In their first match in the Nations Challenge Wales overcame a determined fightback from Switzerland to win 5-3 after leading 2-0 at halftime. Leah Wilkinson scored a hat trick with the other Welsh goals both being scored by Carys Hopkins. Wales' next match is against Croatia on Wednesday.
