COACHING WORKSHOPS 2008
This year’s Coaching Workshops will take place in July and August with dates and venue now confirmed. The workshops currently scheduled are listed below and for further details contact Vicki Kovacs at [email protected]
These courses are open to club coaches and those working with teams of any age group and are priced at £30 per Workshop or £100 for all four.
Coaches should hold a Level 2/Level 3 coaching qualification (or equivalent). The courses may be attended as workshops for continued professional development or as workshops leading to the Level 3 coach award.

Goal Scoring: 10th July; 18:00 - 21:00
Attacking Outletting: 24th July; 18:00 - 21:00
Unit Play: 7th August: 18:00 - 21:00
Team Defence: 14th August; 18:00 - 21:00

Unit Play
Course Learning Objectives
- To develop an understanding of 2v1 2v2 3v2 and 3v3
- To develop an understanding of how these situations can be applied to team play
- To develop an understanding of applying these principles to positions on the pitch
- To develop an understanding of how to coach these principles
Goal Scoring
Course Learning Objectives
- To develop an understanding of the techniques that will allow players to shoot at goal from wherever the ball is around their
- To develop an understanding of the principles of developing goal scoring situations
- To develop an understanding of how to coach goal scoring effectively
Attacking Outletting and Mid-field Play
Course Learning Objectives
- To develop an understanding of how the ball is played between back 4 players
- To develop an understanding of how an extra man can be created in mid-field
- To develop an understanding of links between mid-field and front players to create penetration
- To develop an understanding of how to coach these principles
Team Defence
Course Learning Objectives
- To develop an understanding of the basic team defence structure
- To develop an understanding of pressing defenders
- To develop an understanding of defending free hits in the circle
- To develop an understanding of how to coach team defence principles
