Wales host Junior (U-21) Celtic Cup

Over the 30th June to 2nd July, Wales will
be hosting the bi-annual Celtic Cup for both
Men’s and Women’s Junior teams from Wales,
Scotland, Ireland and France.
The tournament is part of the preparation for
all of the squads before they compete in their
respective EuroHockey Junior Nations
tournaments. Wales Junior men will be playing in
Gibraltar in the Trophy competition with the
Women competing in the Championship against the
likes of Germany, England, Netherlands and Spain
in Catania (Italy). Both tournaments will be
played over 23rd to 29th July so the Celtic Cups
will give all 8 squads extremely valuable match
practice.
Games are all to be played at Sophia Gardens,
Cardiff with match times of 10:00, 12:00, 14:00
and 16:00 daily. Entry is very reasonably set at
£5 per day or £10 for a three day ticket with
U-16’s allowed free entry at any time.
