Whitchurch match postponed but
promotion prospects boosted

Whitchurch’s
eagerly-awaited EHL National South clash against champions-elect
Havant fell victim to the inclement weather, but second-placed
Oxted’s surprise 4-2 home defeat by Indian Gymkhana has opened
up the race for the promotion play-off spot. Oxted remain 2nd
with 31 points followed by Whitchurch and Indian Gymkhana, both
on 28 points. Whitchurch have the Havant game in hand and they
still have to play Oxted at home. Whitchurch entertain 5th place
Ipswich at home this Saturday (1.30 start at the Welsh Institute
of Sport).
