GB Coach presents his vision to
Welsh Coaches

Danny Kerry, Great Britain Women’s Head Coach, found some time in his busy programme to speak to a group of WHU High Performance Coaches on 13th December, and to share his long term vision for hockey (particularly women’s hockey) in Great Britain. Using recent footage from test matches in Argentina and South Africa, as well as training sessions back at Bisham Abbey, Danny explained and discussed the technical and tactical areas that need to be addressed to enable the GB Women’s side to play in the way that he feels they must to be competitive, not only in Beijing next year (the GB Women have already qualified) but also for London 2012.

WHU National Development Manager (Coaching) Chris Marriott was extremely pleased with the way the evening went, “Danny and I are both acutely aware of the need for a single, consistent and shared vision for the development of players from Regional Academies and Under 16 National squads right through to Seniors. We will now be working hard on this in Wales, as well as continuing to contribute to this debate at GB level”.
