U-16 & U-18 Women’s Regional Tournament

U-16 WOMEN’S REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
South Wales East beat South Wales West 2 – 1
Hayley Rees scored for South Wales West in the 30th minute. Hannah Vowles equalised for South Wales East in the 52nd minute with Sophie Clayton scoring the winner in the 60th minute. Both teams kept us on the edge of our seats with the opening goal coming in the last minute of the first half and the winning goal coming in the last minute of the match. Umpires - Karen Jones and Elaine Scale.
South Wales East beat North Wales 4 – 1
Ffion Jones opened the scoring for South Wales East in the 27th minute. Hannah Hughes equalised for North Wales in the 35th minute but South Wales East replied with goals from Sophie Clayton in 42nd minute, Emily James in 51st minute and Emma Rees in the 54th minute.
Umpires - Elaine Scales and Chris Davies.
South Wales West beat North Wales 3 – 2
Alecs Donovan scored in the 1st minute for South Wales West with Rebecca Treharne scoring their 2nd goal in the 13th minute. Isabel Hughes replied in the 39th minute for North Wales with Gwenllian Jones getting the equaliser in the 46th minute. Fortunately the winning goal for South Wales West was another from Rebecca Treharne in the 59th minute so the Technical Officers did not need their calculators to work out goal difference! Umpires - Chris Davies and Karen Jones.

South Wales East beat South Wales West 2 – 0
Goals from Sarah Jones and Rachel Fairweather secured a win for South Wales East in the opening match of the U18 tournament.
Umpires - Diane Roberts and Carolyn Llewelyn.
North Wales beat South Wales West 4 – 3
Elin Thomas scored for South Wales West in the 1st minute but North Wales replied with goals from Ceri Madoc Jones, Lois Welsh, Emma Speake and Natalie Heap in the 13th, 15th, 33rd and 45th minutes respectively Nicola Tucker scored for South Wales West in 52nd minute and a goad from Jayde Piontecki in the 54th minute made the final result 4 - 3. Umpires - Carolyn Llewelyn and Jane Rowley.
South Wales East beat North Wales 3 – 1
Emma Richards scored the opening goal for South Wales East in the 7th minute. North Wales equalised in the 21st minute but Emma Richards scored again in the 42nd minute with Rachel Fairweather scoring the final goal of the tournament in the 56th minute to secure a win for South Wales East. Umpires - Jane Rowley and Diane Roberts.
