Whitchurch 2, Oxford Hawks 6
Whitchurch ended their Slazenger EHL season on 25th March with a disappointing 6-2 home defeat at the hands of relegation threatened Oxford Hawks.  Whitchurch made a great start to the game, Rhys Thomas and Graeme Egan putting their side 2-0 up after 15 minutes, but Oxford pulled a goal back almost immediately and then converted a penalty corner just before half-time to leave the game evenly poised at 2-2.  Both sides created chances as the game opened up in the second half, but it was Oxford who made the most of theirs, scoring twice in the first ten minutes after the interval and then adding a further two in the last ten minutes as Whitchurch pushed forward in an effort to save the match.

Whitchurch ended an inconsistent league season in fifth place in the table and now turn their attention to the Welsh Cup Final against Cardiff this Sunday (2.30 start at the Welsh Institute of Sport).
