National or International Badge

Umpires are eligible for selection to all national outdoor hockey competitions and are available to be nominated for international appointments.

The umpire will be required to successfully complete the following:

1. To have umpired a senior or under 21 international match but not mixed;

2. To have been watched by at least two members appointed by the National Appointments Committee either at a Senior or Under 21 International Match but not Mixed;

3. To have successfully completed an the FIH Umpires fitness test to the minimum level;

4. The umpire will be a currently active Level 3 Award and officiating at the highest level available;

5. To be recommended by the National Appointments Committee for upgrading.
