INTERNATIONAL TEAMS
Wales selects and prepares eight international teams in each year, four
women’s and four men’s. Teams are selected at the following levels.

The teams play in regular Test series against other hockey nations, as
well as contesting competitions at European and World levels

European Championship tournaments are contested biennially with
Seniors and Under 18’s in one year followed by Under 21’s and Under
16’s in the alternate year. |

Celtic Cups are played annually for Seniors and biennially for
U/21’s in the year of their European Championships. |

Although Wales has not qualified for the World Cup or the
Commonwealth Games in 2006 these two events are ongoing goals for
future years. |
International players are required to be committed to excellence, and
programs are always challenging of player’s fitness, technique and
mental approach. If you believe that you have what it takes, and can
