MEN'S INDOOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008/9
Sunday 1st February 2009, Rhydycar Leisure Centre
For the first time in their history, Cardiff University won the Men's National Indoor title after beating Swansea Bay 4-1 in the final match of the tournament. With the win comes the chance to represent Wales in the 2010 EuroHockey Indoor tournament and with the 'Bay' shortly to travel to France for this year's tournament all hope that they can consolidate Wales' place in the Challenge I as a minimum. This coming weekend sees the Women's version of the same tournament with Penarth no doubt determined to rest the title from the grips of Howardian, winners for the past two seasons.
