U-16 Internationals v Scotland

For most of the players in the U-16 squads, their first taste of International hockey will come when they play Scotland in Largs over this coming weekend The Girls start proceedings when they play at 15:00 on Saturday 23rd April with the Boys following at 17:00.

Additional UKCC Level 1 Course added to Calendar!!!

Calling all players, officials, parents and individuals enthusiastic about beginning their coaching journey! Due to the recent high demand for the UKCC Level 1 Hockey Coaching Qualification, Welsh Hockey have organised an additional course to be held at Hawthorn High School, Rhondda Cynon Taff in June.

U-18 Internationals v Scotland

This coming weekend (Fri 22nd – Sun 24th) Wrexham will see Wales playing host to Scotland in three U-18 test matches for both Boys and Girls at Glyndwr University. The first matches of the series will be at 18:00 for Boys and 19:30 for Women on Friday night. With free entry to all games this is a great opportunity to see the stars of the future at close hand.

Welsh umpires receive National badges

At last weekend’s Cup Finals 4 well-known Welsh umpires were all awarded their National badges in recognition of their achievements not only within Wales but also on the international stage. Those to receive their badges were Carol Lewis, Jamie Hindle, Marcus Powell and Will Drury.

New date released for North Umpiring Course

Thursday 5th May sees Bangor University play host to a level 1 Umpiring course. The course will run 3 – 9pm and will include coverage of rules and a practical demonstration. To attend the course please contact [email protected] after downloading and viewing the course programme.

Welsh Schoolboys Championship Finals results

The Welsh Boys U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18 Schools Championships Finals were played at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, Newtown on Wednesday 30th March 2011.

European Qualifying Tournament

The winners of the two Welsh Cups will automatically be seeded into the final of their respective European Qualifying tournaments to be held on 14th & 15th May at the National Hockey Centre, Cardiff.

U-15 Girls Club Championship – South Region Finals

The four winning teams from the previous round met at Swansea on Sunday 3rd April in a play-off to decide which three teams would go through to the Welsh Finals on Sat 7th May.
